Dr Tai is a graduate from the University of New South Wales in Sydney and completed his specialist training in Northern Beaches Hospital, Westmead Hospital, and Concord Hospital.

Following his specialist training, Dr. Tai undertook a clinical sleep fellowship at the Woolcock Institute, where he gained further experience in the management of various sleep disorders. During time at the Woolcock Institute, Dr. Tai actively contributed as a clinician-investigator to clinical trials focused on sleep-related breathing disorders and hypersomnolence disorders.

Dr Tai has admitting rights to Northern Beaches Hospital and rights to perform bronchoscopy/EBUS at Northern Beaches Hospital.

Dr Jian Tai had completed a competitive clinical sleep fellowship at the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research in 2023. There, he participated in clinical trials on sleep-related breathing and hypersomnolence disorders.

Dr Tai’s areas of professional interest include airways disease, interstitial lung disease, lung cancer, and sleep disorders. He also speaks Malay and Mandarin.

Dr Tai is available on Wednesday morning for consolations.
