We need this referral to tell us exactly what test you need and what conditions the doctor is concerned about.

A valid referral will also make you eligible for a Medicare rebate.

You must have a valid referral from your occupational assessor (ADF, Police Fire and Rescue, diving) for you to have a lung function test.

We need this referral to tell us exactly what test you need, as there are different requirements by different employers.

There is no Medicare rebate for work assessments.

A full lung function test is an extensive assessment of how well you breathe, how much lung capacity you have, and how efficient you are in obtaining oxygen through your lungs.

Spirometry is a basic measure of how well your windpipes work. This is usually used as a screening test to decide on further testing that may be needed.

Testing allergies to common allergens that could be inhaled causing asthma, wheezing, runny nose or polyps. This test is done by applying tiny amounts of the allergen to your skin.

This test is a diagnostic test used to assess airway hyperresponsiveness, a key feature of asthma. This is an extensive test and will only be done with a respiratory specialist present onsite. Therefore, upload your referral; we will get back to you ASAP.

The exhaled nitric oxide (FeNo) test assesses the level of inflammation in the airways of your lungs and sinuses. This test can be used to change inhaler treatment and assess response to treatment

The 6-Minute Walk Test measures how far you can walk quickly on a flat surface in 6 minutes. This test is used to assess and adjust treatment for lung fibrosis and pulmonary hypertension.
